Hey Y’all! I’m here to show you some real Christmas spirit today. Meet my friend Jack. He’s the most jolliest guy I know besides Santa himself. I prefer him on the rocks but every once in a while I’ll make a brown sugar glaze with him to go on my pecans. Now don’t get this confused with Bourbon Pecans. If you’re from the south you know the difference between Whiskey and Bourbon. And Jack is Whiskey!

Whiskey Pecans are my absolute favorite during the holiday season! How do you say pecan? Do you say “Puh Kaan” or “Pee-Can?” Let’s be real, in the south you go with the latter.

You’ll love the brown sugar and butter flavors in the recipe along with the smooth smoky sweetness of Jack Daniels Whiskey. Yes Mam!

Whiskey Pecans Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 6 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 ½ tbsp Jack Daniels Whiskey
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°.
  2. Add butter, brown sugar, salt and whiskey to a microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Microwave 30-60 seconds or until butter is melted. Mix well.
  4. Place pecans in a small bowl. Drizzle with butter mixture. Toss pecans and mix well.
  5. Cover a small pan with tin foil.
  6. Pour nut mixture onto pan and spread evenly.

  1. Bake 30-35 minutes or lightly browned, stirring occasionally.

  1. Let cool. Store in a Christmas tin or footed compote with lid.
