The people who wrote the story are absolutely amazing people, I mean they are incredibly talented. The characters are loveable and hateable. Open ending makes me so sad, but it's like one of the great SF novels, Adastra gives me a huge Winter/Summer Queen (Joan D Vinge) vibes crossed with Frank Herbert's Dune and this is amazing and troubling because there is never such a thing as happy ending.
